About this course
An educational programme designed for people with autistic spectrum conditions such as Asperger's Syndrome, Aspirations helps people with ASD develop strategies to cope in everyday situations. The programme addresses the problems common to ASD such as low self-esteem, anxiety,depression and isolation. Learning is very tailored and takes place in small groups of no more than eight. Subject areas may include: work readiness skills, independent living, IT, healthy living, local studies and living in the community, but above all, a better understanding of self, the condition and others. Learners may attend between one and four days per week - whatever is most suitable for them.
