About this course

With Liz Marley. Learn the basics about knitting with wire; how to handle the materials and different ideas on construction. The aim is to make a piece, or start a couple of pieces, of jewellery, but advice will also be given on other things you could make, including how to create a surface for other fibrecrafts such as felting or stitching.

Experience required: ability to knit and purl, cast on and off.

All materials are provided: metal DPNs, 28-gauge wire and Liz will have beads and other things to thread on the wire to knit in. If you would like to bring finer gauge wire, mixed beads, semi-precious stones, or anything else you could thread onto fine wire, do bring them along to give your piece a personal twist.
