Ducati, Kawasaki, KTM, Triumph, Suzuki and Yamaha will be bringing a selection of the very latest 2017 bikes for visitors to test ride at the Carole Nash MCN Festival of Motorcycling. The event, held on May 13-14 at the Peterborough Showground boasts the biggest demo fleet of new bikes anywhere in the country.
By day there will be stunt action to entertain the crowds plus a full round of the DTRA (Dirt Track Riders Association) championships in the Maxxis Speedway arena. MCE British Superbike legend Chris Walker will be taking to the dirt as he competes in the Hooligan Flat-track races -watching 750cc+ machines on road tyres scream around the speedway oval is something not to be missed!
By night the Peterborough Panthers will take on the Newcastle Diamonds in an official round of the Speedway Great Britain Championship League – taking place from 7pm on Saturday evening.
New this year is the introduction of one of the biggest collections of classic and historic race bikes. There will be a range of over 40 rare and stunning machines ranging from 1950s Grand Prix bikes to a Kawasaki H2R – brought to life in the Motorex fire-up paddock.
There’s family fun for all ages including the heart-stopping Wall of Death, plus the fantastic GET ON experience for beginner riders. Real ale fans are in for a treat as Hobgoblin are the official drinks partner for the weekend. Kids will be entertained by the inflatable castles and rides plus, kids get in free!
Camping is a great way to experience all that the Festival has to offer. Campers gain early access into the show, have the opportunity to be the first to sign up for test rides and bag a bargain, plus access to the Yamaha Dark Side party on both Friday and Saturday night with live music and a licensed bar. Entry to the speedway race on Saturday evening is included for campers, race tickets cost £16 for non-campers.
Day tickets and camping packages are now on sale. Discounted day tickets cost £15 and camping starts at £30, available online now until May 8th. Children go free (15 yrs and under).
