About this event
An opportunity to see inside Cambridgeshire’s archaeological archives store, where over 5000 boxes of the county’s most fascinating archaeological remains are stored and preserved followed by activities on the lawn, including the famous 'dig boxes' in which children can excavate through ‘soil’ (recycled rubber) for a range of original and replica artefacts. There will also be a series of guided tours of the nearby Worts Meadow moated site, throughout the day.
This event is organised in cooperation with English Heritage ‘Heritage Open Days’ and the BBC ‘Hands on History’ initiative.
