About this event

Staff from the Scott Polar Research Institute discuss how maps of the North and South Poles have been made, looking at examples from their archives. See how explorers such as Ernest Shackleton created their maps and how modern scientists map the ever changing Polar Regions today.

This talk is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Booking required. Please speak to library staff or call 0345 045 5225 for a ticket.

Engage in the Afternoon is a club for people aged over 50. Each month there will be a guest speaker, and the opportunity to socialise, meet new people and enjoy refreshments.
