About this organisation
A museum planned to present life as it was in this fen edge location over the past 100 years. Also have Romano-British and Anglo Saxon displays. The adjacent windmill, Stevens' Mill, is also part of the museum and can be visited while being accompanied by a member of museum staff.
Disabled facilities include stair-lifts. Open Easter to end October; Thur, Sun and Bank Holiday Mon 2.00pm-5.00pm. Pre-booked groups welcome any day during open season.

Venue Notes The museum consists of a group of interesting buildings (some old and reconstructed on site - including an 18th Century timber framed barn, and some built from scratch in the local style using reclaimed materials where possible) on a level grassed site.
Stair-lifts to upstairs public areas (except the windmill - the size of the building, location of machinery and historic nature of the building prevent installation of a stair-lift.), photos & plans of the upper floors are available on the ground floor of the mill and also on our website www.burwellmuseum.org.uk .
Please note:- The entrance to the museum is next to the windmill in Mill Close (off Mill Lane). More detailed transport information (location of car park, nearest bus stop etc) can be found on our website.
