About this organisation
We are a charitable organisation that predominantly provide free drop-in Hearing Help Sessions staffed by volunteers under the guidance of a supervisor which provide free batteries, hearing aid care and maintenance for NHS hearing aid users. We also regularly make visits to residential homes, sheltered housing and visits to housebound citizens in the Cambridgeshire area.
Throughout the year we run assistive equipment demonstrations giving people the opportunity to try out a range of products such as amplified telephones that can help to improve communication for those with hearing loss.
We are particularly keen on attracting new volunteers, especially from the Fenlands for our next training course in March this year. Our services are expanding into the Fenlands in the near future and in order to provide a more comprehensive service to NHS hearing aid users, we need more volunteers from the Fenlands.
Cambridgeshire Hearing Help is funded through contracts with the NHS and Cambridgeshire County Council and through gift donations and other grants.
Details of all our Hearing Help Sessions and other services available please follow the link to our website or contact our office team between 9am-12:30 Mon-Fri using the details provided.
