About this organisation
“Before I married, I had three theories about raising children and no children. Now, I have three children and no theories.” (John Wilmot) Parent or carer – sometimes it can be daunting to know what to do for the best, especially if your child is facing their own difficulties. Look through our carers pages pages to find helping hands local to you. If your child has been referred to one of CPFT's children and young people's services, you will find information about our services and what to expect on the service directory pages. Parents and carers are the most valuable resource children have. We want to work with you to give your children the best possible chances. CPFT provides a wide range of services for children and their families including care and treatment for children with any mental health or developmental problems, as well as physical and learning disabilities. CPFT is one of 58 mental health trusts in England and we provide health and social care services for people with mental health illnesses and also children's community services in Cambridge and surrounding areas. This might include counselling and other psychological therapies, community and family support or general health screening.
