About this organisation

Helping Hands has been providing care at home since it was established in 1989 by Mary Lee. A quarter of a century later we are still a family run business and are regarded as a leading care provider in the UK, providing both Live-in and Hourly Care Homecare throughout England & Wales.

Our Live-in Care service is a full-time care at home service which allows you, or your loved one, to stay at home in familiar and relaxed surroundings, providing an incomparable level of one to one care support. It is truly an exceptional service that empowers you to retain control and independence covering your every care need including personal care, housekeeping and companionship. For many, Live-in Care is a direct alternative to residential or nursing homecare.

With local bases around the country and a network of local managers, Helping Hands is able to respond quickly and provide exceptional levels of service to all those we support. This means that we are able to give our customers and our Carers peace of mind knowing that there is someone close by to offer support and expert advice.

All Helping Hands Carers are handpicked by our expert team. To give customers confidence Carers are directly employed by us and are fully checked and vetted. Our Award Winning Training and Selection programme is industry leading and truly inspirational as well as educational. Apart from all the training you would expect from a leading care provider we are also able to offer our Carers a leading Dementia Training Course. This is run by Jayne Vale, Dementia Personality of the Year – this training deepens our Carers’ understanding and enhances and underpins the tailored support that we are able to offer those with memory loss conditions, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. To give you an understanding of the importance we place on our Carers, our benchmark is to ask ourselves whether we would we have an individual care for our own family.

Helping Hands is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and is a founding member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association. The company prides itself on the high standard of care that it provides to customers across England and Wales.
