About this organisation
Options Day Service provides social, educational and stimulatory activities for people with learning disabilities. People attending Options take part in activities such as art, drama, keep fit, swimming, t'ai chi, storytelling, cookery, music groups and gardening. We also organise events such as discos and trips to the theatre or pantomime. Options is open 50 weeks per year and may be able to provide transport for clients in certain areas.
Special diets: Clients are asked to bring their own food. Staff are always available to help with feeding if necessary.
Other specialist provision: A sensory room with equipment designed to promote calm and relaxtion.
Accessible transport facilities and all drivers are MIDAS trained.
Staff are trained in First Aid, moving and handling, food hygiene, SOVA, and have also received training in dealing with epilepsy and autism.
A hoist is available to those who need it.
