About this organisation

St Ives’ answer to exchanging knowledge, resources and skills; bringing individuals, communities and organisations together, where the only currency is time.

Timebanking
is a unique form of volunteering, where you get paid – in time credits. You bank a time credit for every hour spent helping someone, and claim your time back when you need something in return.

There are no time limits or restrictions. You can be as involved as much or as little as your life allows. Everyone’s time is equal, regardless of what they need or can offer. You can use the Time Bank in an endless variety of settings: visiting someone in isolation, ironing, foreign language lessons, fitness training, computer knowledge, baking, companionship, DIY – the possibilities are endless.
