About this organisation

Woodcraft Folk is an inclusive movement for children and young people. Our groups aim to develop self confidence and our young members have the opportunity to explore the social and natural world around them through games, crafts, debates, drama and outdoor activities.Woodcraft Folk run groups all across the UK and have done since 1925. The principles of our organisation aim for our young members to work towards a more peaceful, fair, bright future.  We have recently started running a Pioneer group for 9-12 year olds in St Neots. We meet every Thursday in term time at Paxton Pits nature reserve visitors centre. Everyone is welcome at our groups and we are looking for more young people to join our group and engage in our activities and also for adults to volunteer and help us run the group. Get in touch for more details.

Cultural provision: We welcome people from all faiths and backgrounds. We have some resources translated into different languages such as mandarin and Arabic. When we go away camping or do group activities that involve food we make sure we check what dietary requirements need to be met.

Special diets: We will do all we can to welcome everyone who wants to be involved in our group. When we go away camping or do group activities that involve food we make sure we check what dietary requirements need to be met.

Other specialist provision: Our activities take place indoors and outdoors. Our volunteers will do all they can to welcome everyone who wants to join our group. We will need to know all details of needs of young people so we can best accommodate them. The centre we meet in has wheelchair access.
